Rules and Guidelines
The Following are guideline which clubs, referees and venues are expected to adhere to:
- A
postponement shall only be granted by the Fixtures Committee for the
following reasons
(A) Death of
father, mother, brother, sister or grand parent of player
(B) Death
of Club Officer or clergyman
(C) Tragedy
in the locality
- Where a
fixture is unplayed for the reasons stated above the following should be
observed, Friday fixtures to be played on the following Tuesday. Monday
fixtures to be played on the following Thursday. Wednesday fixtures to be
played on the following Sunday at 12 noon. Home club to make all
arrangements. All pitched must be fully marked for underage games. Rules

- It shall
be obligatory for a club that changes a fixture (having contacted Breda
Connors at 087 6317763) to make all arrangements necessary for the new
fixture.
- All games
not played in accordance with 1, 2, 3 above, will be referred to the
disciplinary committee.
- Home Team
to pay referee €35 for all games up to including Minor. And for Finals
referees to receive €50.
- Entrance
Fee to all games is €5. All gates (for finals and semi finals) must be
returned to the County Treasurer.
- Semi
Final will be open draws, with extra time to be played if necessary (10
minutes each half) .
- Extra
Time to be played in the event of a draw in Play-off games, 10 mins each
half
- All
communications with Coiste na nÓg officials must be made through the Minor
Club Secretary only.
- Where
teams finish on equal points in their group scoring aggregate will be
taken into consideration in only U12, U14, &U16
- Holidays,
injury, permission players or disciplinary matters will not be a reason
for postponing games.
- Age
Grades:

U 16 – Be Over 12 and under 16 years

U14 – Be over 10 and under 14 years

U12 – Be over 9 and under 12 years

U10- Be over 8
and under 10 years
- Any Team
who wins B Competition. Must play A grade in the following two years time.
- Clubs
must have a set of bibs for all league and championship games, identified
with club name and individually identifiable as follows: Chairperson,
Secretary, Medical, Manager, Selectors (max of 2), water carriers (2),
Hurley carriers (2). Only the above mentioned will be allowed onto the side-line,
for all competitive matches, provided they are wearing the appropriate
bib
- No Dates
to be changed unless games are brought forward or it will result in the
loss of the game or disqualification.
- Fielding
of Teams’ 10/ U12 to facilitate other teams, clubs can play at 11, 13 or
15 aside.
- No Girls
to be fielded on U14 or U16 teams
- Nominated
Venues: If a Nominated Venue is not available alternative pitch must be
used (home team) or concede home advantage to opposing team. If this so
happens, it is the clubs responsibility to contact the County
Secretary and the Referee.
- If
necessary Fixtures will be played under lights.

Referees
Referees will receive Report Forms for upcoming games.
Should a referee be unavailable for a game on the attached list, he is
requested to appoint a substitute, or failing this notify the Fixtures
Secretary as soon as possible.
Referees are requested to return report forms to the
Secretary with 3 days of the fixture for all games.
