St. Rynagh's Football Club Notes : 21st May 2012

Under 12's Football
St Rynaghs U12's played Kilcormac-Killoughey last Wednesday evening in Cloghan.  Results were 3-11 to 4-2 a good win for St Rynaghs.

Under 10's Football

St Rynaghs U10's have a blitz on Saturday 26th May 2012 at 10.00am in Cloghan playing Ferbane, Ballinamere-Durrow and Clara.

Under 14's Football
St Rynaghs U14's played Gracefield last Friday 17-5-12 in Gracefield.  I was an exciting first half with St Rynaghs trailing at half time. It was a close game till the last 10 minutes when St Rynaghs pulled away with 2 Goals.  Final Score St Rynaghs 4-11 Gracefield 2-9.  Well done lads.  Next game St Rynaghs play Clara on 30th May 12 in Cloghan.

Senior Football
Our senior team had there first championship game on Sunday last against Walsh Island in Killurine.  It was a tough physical game on both sides.  Stephen Quirke opened up the score for St Rynaghs.  Walsh Island were leading at half time.  Walsh Island got off to a better start in the second half scoring the next 3 points.  St Rynaghs missed a few scoring chances in the second half, losing to Walsh Island by 3 points.  Final Score Walsh Island 0-11 St Rynaghs 0-8.  St Rynaghs Team:  Conor Clancy, Stephen Clancy 0-1, Tomas Flaherty, Joe Carroll, Paul Quirke 0-2, Ger Rafferty, Odhran McIntyre, James Rafferty, Joseph O'Connor, Martin Grogan, Ciaran Flannery, Gary Mahon, Stephen Quirke 0-1, Niall Wynne 0-3 (2 frees), Paudie Mulhare 0-1. Subs:  Pat Camon for Martin Grogan and Enda Corcoran for Stephen Quirke.  Rynaghs are out next Wednesday against Durrow at 7.15pm in Durrow in the division 2 league.

Official Opening
St Ryanghs GAA Football Club invites all members and friends to attend the Official Opening of the New Clubrooms by Uachtaran Cumann Luthchleas Gael Liam O'Neill at 6pm sharp Saturday 26th May 2012.  This will be followed by Senior Football between Offaly and Longford.  Music, BBQ and Refreshments will be served after the game and all are welcome to stay on for a social evening.

Cloghan Notes
Cloghan Clean Up - Great turnout for the cleanup last Saturday in Cloghan.  Over 40 people turned out young and old.  Great days work was done by all, greatly appreciated by the committee.  There will be a tidy up around the GAA centre at 7pm on Wednesday for our opening on Saturday 26th May.
