St. Rynagh's Football Club Notes : 19th September

On next Saturday 24th September a panel of U10 footballers with their mentors Gary Daly, Martin Houlihan, Brian Hogan and Patrick Regan will travel to Cavan to play in the all county U10 Blitz.  The bus to bring the travelling group will leave St Rynaghs football grounds Cloghan at 7.45am as they have to be in Cavan to fill in their registration forms at 10am.  We wish the lads the very best of good luck and know they will do us proud.

On last Thursday evening week our U16B footballers played St Grellans of Ballinasloe in a challenge game at the Tubber venue in a keenly and sportingly contested game.  St Rynaghs won by 4-11 to 0-11.  The saints are in the semi final of the U16B football championship which we await with great eagerness and anticipation.

St Rynaghs football/hurling club lotto draw will take place in the new clubhouse Cloghan for the duration of September, October and November at 10pm every Monday night.  Your continued great support is greatly appreciated.

There has been a magnificent response to our 100 Club 3 fundraiser.  There are still some vacancies left and if you wish to join you can contact Nigel Flynn 0868981133, Tomas Flaherty 0868954043, Michael McIntyre 0861086348, Stephen Finneran 0866058076, Martin Grogan 0877440867.  There are 3 ways to join €260 to be paid for the year, €65 every 3 months or €21 every month.  There are 10 cash prizes to be won 1st €1,000, 2nd €350, 3rd €300 4th to 10th €50.  Again from St Rynaghs football club a sincere thanks to the people of our parish and surrounding areas for your magnificent generosity.  Our new club house development project would not be feasible without your financial help.

Cloghan National School played their first match of the season against Rashina in Doon on Tuesday 13th Sept.  Cloghan were comfortable winners on the day.  The panel was as follows:  Cormac Daly, Gerard Sheridan, niamh Finneran, Sean Kilmartin, Geroid Daly, Shane Daly, Sean Hanamy, Adam Meleady, Niamh Clancy, Rachel Slevin, Brendan Cooney, Thomas Daly, Naomi Wynne-Smith, Jessica Wynne-Smith, Lisa Leonard, Diarmud Gannon, Lisa Leonard, Beth Camon.  Cloghan have games left against: Broghal (at home), Mount Bolus (Away), Cloweyhurk (at home).
