U14 Football

St Rynaghs footballers took on Shamrocks on Wednesday evening in Cloghan in the second round of the championship.  In the first half Shamrocks had wind advantage and Clocked up 1-6 to 0-0 by half time.  Second half St Rynaghs started off wekk with Darren Gaughan getting our first point.  St Rynaghs used the ball well and then Darragh Tierney foiund the net and Cillian Kelly hit a second goal.  St Rynaghs were finding form when Sean Hanamy caught a high ball, turned his man and scored a great point.  Darragh Tierney hit over another point and then Denis Healy ran through the middle to score another point.  St Rynaghs were unlucky not to get a penalty in the last 10 minutes.  St Rynaghs looked like finishing with a win when a mix in the back line let Shamrocks in for two late goals.  St Rynaghs put over another point before the referee blew the final whistle.  Final Score St Rynaghs 2-6 to Shamrocks 3-8.  Team: C Flynn, S Daly, C Redmond, D Healy, E Flynn, F Hanamy, M Harrington, E Corcoran, D Healy 0-1, G Daly, D Tierney 1-1, D Gaughan 0-2, S Hanamy 0-2, C Kelly 1-0, S Kilmartin.  Subs Used: S Hogan for M Harrington, T Corcoran for G Daly, C Troy for S Daly.

U16 Football

St Rynaghs travelled to Pollagh on Monday evening but the game was called off due to water logged pitch.  On Sunday morning we travelled to Pollagh for the refixture only to be disappointed again as Pollagh were unable to field a team.

Minor Football

Our  minor footballers travelled to Tullamore on Friday evening for our second game in the Championship.  This was a total one sided game with Tullamore scoring a total of 4-18 to St Rynaghs 0-4.  Games like this does nothing for either team.  Hopefully we will be playing more balanced teams in the future.  Team: C Clancy, M Daly, D Langtry, M Byrne, A Moylan, R Butler, E Gannon, R Kelly, M Maloney, D Flynn, G Lynch, J Guinan 0-2, M James, D Moran, E Conroy 0-1.  Subs:  D Healy 0-1, J Daly, E Flynn, R Buckley, D McAlaney, C Gleeson.  Next game on Wednesday 25th playing Birr in Cloghan at 7.30pm.

Senior Football

Our senior footballers are out on Saturday evening the 28th in Killeigh against Gracefield at 7.30pm.  Best of luck to all involved.  Next game for seniors is Bank Holiday Monday 6th August in Ferbane at 7.30pm against Clara.

Well Done to St Rynaghs Senior Hurlers on beating Birr on Saturday evening 21st July.
