St Rynaghs played Raheen in the Intermediate football semi final on Sunday evening last 26th September in O’Connor Park Tullamore. In a very tight marking game Raheen opened the scoring with a point from a free and a short time later the corner forward from Raheen scored a goal. Niall Wynne then got St. Rynaghs on the scoring sheet with a pointed free and after 24 minutes Niall Crashed the ball to the Raheen net followed by a point from Gary Mahon. Raheen got another point before the break to leave the sides level at 1-2 each at half time.
In the second half both sides battled hard and exchanging scores, St.Rynaghs had points from Gary Mahon, Paudie Mulhare and a long range free from James Rafferty to leave the score at 1.05 before Raheen equalised  to send the game to a replay. The replay isn't fixed yet but it looks like it will be on the weekend of the 8th-10th Oct. St. Rynaghs had some fine individual performances and will take a lot of encouragement from this performance.
